What is a Model United Nations?

A MUN, Model United Nations, is a conference where students take the role of a country's delegation and defend the country's position, in different committees. During the event, the students participating will be able to debate on current issues, surrounding politics, the environment and other subjects related to today's world. Beside being a delegate, students can be involved in press or administrative teams ensuring a good conducting and the wellbeing of others.

About the GDMun

The Georges Duby MUN is a student-organised conference that has taken place at Georges Duby High School for the past 7 years. Over the course of a weekend, it allows participants to have a better understanding of diplomacy and world's politics. Gathering students from different high schools, it creates a fun atmosphere for every student to practice teamwork, public speaking and take on leadership roles. It encourages awareness of international relations by solving problems through clauses and amendments, and making decisions harmonizing delegates' opinions.
